Follow-up and survivorship

This section provides guidance on follow-up of patients after active treatment for early breast cancer and on survivorship care that focuses on health and well-being for people living with and beyond early breast cancer.

Recommendations and practice points are included on continuity of care (communication, follow-up care plans and information for patients), follow-up schedules and tests, monitoring and managing side effects and complications of treatment (lymphoedema, menopausal symptoms, cardiac risk, pain, cognitive impairment and reproductive and sexual health), and psychosocial needs and supportive care.
